What is “Movies By Your Side”

“Movies By Your Side” is a portal website that offers child-friendly movies for free.

We, World Theater Project, have launched this project with the aim of providing psychosocial support for affected children who needed care to overcome their traumatized experiences due to exposure to war or disaster.

Believing in the power of movie experiences for enhancing children’s psychosocial well-being, we provide a variety of movie content via our portal site. In addition to that, related educational materials and workshop resources are available for free.

We wish for humanitarian organizations and civilian groups, local schools to utilize our portal for such kind of activities below.

About Our Movies

We have acquired permission from screening copyright holders for all provided movies.

Considering the impact of war or disaster on children’s traumatic experiences, we have chosen enjoyable films with happy endings and without the scene of parting.

Furthermore, in order to enjoy the film together with the local children in any region, movies without or with only simple dialogues have been selected so that the movie will be free from the matter of language.

How to Use

You would find a viewing link on each movie page. All film contents are available for free, but they require passwords for copyright protection.

Please contact us through the page “Contact”, when you want to access our movies. As soon as it’s confirmed, we will send you a confirmation email with a password and user guidance.

We are a Non-Profit Organization headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. As we believe in a world that children can have dreams to open the way in their own life regardless of any circumstances, our mission is “to deliver a movie experience to every child”.  Since the foundation in 2012, we have been delivering movies to the children living to rural areas where they have no access to movie theaters.
